Start Orb and type in msconfig. Then tick on msconfig.exe
Tick on Boot and then Advance Options.

Does it look like mine, Note: No check marks in the red circles.
Number of Processors or Max Memory.

You are welcome to ask any questions to help you along.

Did you ever get sfc /scannow to give you a clean bill of health?
What sfc /scannow does is check Windows 7 System Files. It must be proper before things will work correctly.

    That's fine Miyoki.
I read you post #1 that is why I asked the question.
Some times sfc /scannow has to run a couple three times with boots after each. If you could run it again and let us know the results.
    This will better explain.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Have you been in the bios changing anything?
When one has a computer problem it's better to have bios set to default in most cases.
What I'm thinking their might be more than one problem.
    ** My thinking **
You had a slow computer from the get go. So you upgraded some hardware and fresh installed Windows 7 and you still got the same problem.
With a fresh install of Windows 7 their should be no System File problem.
sfc /scannow should of give you a clean bill of health if the media you use to install Windows 7 was not damaged.
Windows 7 when installed properly will not slow your computer down.
Windows 7 will not change your bios it only read them.
Where did you get your Windows 7 from?
Did your copy of Windows 7 come with SP-1 or did you install it and all the Windows Updates?
Their are parts of the big picture that we are missing.

400,000 that is a lot. What were all them.
**Have you got any BSOD lately?**
Could you do this and it will tell you if you have SP-1.
On the keyboard use the Windows Flag key and the Pause key at the same time and look at the top and see if Windows 7 has SP-1 and in the lower right corner for the Genuine logo.
