    Windows Installer Keeps Popping

    Hi..
I installed Nero 7 Ultra Edition Months ago but this never happened before:
Everytime I open my laptop, Windows Installer will show up and says Installing Nero 7 Ultra Edition and then it will ask for permission then it will fail. And then from time to time, it will pop again. It so annoying.

This happened since I cleaned my registry.
Any idea what's wrong and what should I do? THANKS! :)

(OS: Vista Home Premium [I know this site is mostly for Windows 7, but still know you can help], I used both PC Tools Registry Mechanic and Advance System Care Ultimate when I clean my registry.)

If you know this site then you should also know that we strongly advise against using any so-called registry cleaners or optimizers - except for CCleaner - as these will ruin your install.

Nero is also known as buggy crapware for years.

If I were you I would revert a System Restore point before the OS was likely ruined by the registry junkware.

Do a system restore point before the registry program did its damage, or restore the registry via the registry backup the program should have done before doing anything.

    System Restore

    Next step:

Uninstall all software enhancement or optimizing or registry cleaning software.
None of that is needed and only causes more problems.
