    Windows7 Very slow on everthing

Hi Im Boya, I've just clean install my notebook with windows 7 home premium oem version. everything goes fine, but when it is trying to load up to the screen asking for password the first time, it took like 15 mins to show the screen. after input the password, it took me another 15 to 20 min to go to desktop. so i tried to call up microsoft and they said nothing is wrong with the cd or the software itself. and ask me if i could run on safe mode. well to turn off it took me 15 to 20 mins again. but at safe mode, everthing is smooth, from starting up to login to shutdown, each task took less then a min or two.So my question, is the oem version is not the right software, as it is suppose to be used in a bundle ( i thought it should be fine, cos it will only lock to one computer ), or is my notebook sux? Here is the spec for my notebook: Asus a6rp series, celeron -m440 memory i've just upgraded it to 2gb HardDrive 60GbI hope you guys can help me with it.I really wanted to experience new windows 7, since I've been using xp. But so far its a disappointment. Thank you.

    7 Slow?

Things will go slower on your first log on, takes a few for the computer to get its barrings... have you tried restarting sense you've done the safe mode?

... you should run windows update and get any available updates/drivers
.. uniblue also make a program that ive seen does pretty well looking for available updates

I think it's the windows search indexer doing its job. Indexing a clean install will take a while.
Just log in, and leave your comp alone for 20minutes or so.

Tried restarting after safe mode quite a few times already and the result is still the same as before.
I wanted to do updating, but since its an oem version, i wanted to make sure that my notebook and windows 7 is ok, else i can still change to other computer, since i've not yet register it. btw when i click on start or the browser, it take 15 to 20 min to bring it up as well.
