I need make a partition recovery for Install Windows 7 UEFI/GPT.

Hello, I would like to know how to make a partition to install Windows 7 from there forever. So far I've used a USB formatted with 'Rufus', but as I usually format very often, I want boot the computer from the partition, to do everything faster.

It is important that the installation has support for UEFI mode install, so I'm not interested in MBR / Legacy.

But in this guide does not indicate how to install from a partition, only from a flash drive or a DVD. I want just that, but installing from a partition.

USB 2.0 has a theoretical speed of 60MB/sec, but really no more than 20 ... so it is not comparable to my HDD (120-150mb/sec read)

Have you considered using System Backup Images?
You could keep a "most current clean" image(s) to restore from...all the way back to the "Clean Pristine" install if you keep it and need it.

If you keep using the recovery partition "to install Windows 7 from there forever", every month that goes by you will have more Windows Updates to apply when you install from there...

what image backup program you recommend? I wish I could boot from partition, and not from USB. As more OEM style computers, with the F3-F4, etc., comes into that partition.

I think Macrium is the most recommended in SF, but there are many other programs that work well...
Personally I use a paid version of Acronis.
I've been using it for many years and it has served me well - I have restored an OS more times than I can remember without problems.

I'm not a good one to give best advice because my setup is "not normal".
I use a tray system for removable hard drives, so i can pop in and out SATA HDs like most do with USB drives, Optical discs, ...
And these drives run with internal SATA HD speed.
I also have multi-boot PCs, so if one OS goes south, I can reboot another OS, and recover the failed OS with virtually no down time.

I did some playing with Macrium (free) and was very impressed - I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

I think I've read where there is a way to create a bootable partition using a system backup image...
If I can find that info I'll post back with the link.

I don't have UEFI/GPT so I don't know if that makes a difference with this...
