Possible corrupt profile
Hi guys.
I hope you can help me with my problem!
I turned on my PC today and was greeted with a temporary profile. I figured something was wrong and Googled it. A lot of websites were saying it might be corrupted and gave step-by-step instructions on how to use your backup profile, which I followed very carefully. After doing said steps, I attempted to log onto the account again, but kept getting "The User Profile Service service failed to logon. User profile cannot be loaded".
Since this was the only admin account on the PC, I was unable to create a new profile. After much Googling, I found out how to activate an admin profile through command prompt. I created a new profile with it, and transferred all my data from the old profile to the new profile. With the exception of Desktop and some AppData, because "Access is denied" apparently, even with full admin privileges.
Everything seems to be fine, but the PC seems a bit sluggish and error prone on this new account compared to yesterday. I also cannot access the internet. When troubleshooting this, I get "The 'Local Area Connection* 8-QoS Packet Scheduler-0000' adapter is experiencing problems". If I click Next to see if it can be remedied, I get "Problems found: The Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware-related problems".
Is it possible I need to download drivers or something? Are they profile specific?
Also, can my old profile be resurrected in any way?
Thanks in advance.
