Well the finger touch test and the fact the computer acts normally should tell you the only issue is the temp programs having trouble talking with the APU chip.

i think i will try and sweet talk ocuk into sending me a free cpu temp probe! is there anything that i can do to make the cpu temp diode more compatible with the actual programs. and btw i managed to get it to beep. for some weird reason when running prime 95 it went up to 60c hottest and was lingering around 54c. then when i stopped it it went down to 47c and is idling at that. weird?
on a plus note im not getting bsod.

no it is the way amd designed their apu temp sensors like i showed in that thread about core temp and they are not telling anyone their code used. same happened with the fx series and they had to kinda reverse engineer it to find out what offsets amd used to read them if you run prime 95 it will probably suddenly see the temps as it will be recognized better with higher loads. as for overdrive it seems to not support apu's at this time so you should just uninstall it. i take it speccy can't read your temps either? also if your only hitting 50c while browsing that is high but not unsafe so your fine till you get a better cooler.

generally the highest i get is 45c when surfing da webz. are you sure about the offsets as some people report temp of 30c idle which is good for this cpu.

i dont suppose there is anyone local to newton aycliffe on here who has an fm2 board i could troubleshoot with? read up that someone has had problems with apu and g1 sniper combo not reading temps right, apparently a different board fixed him right up.

It's a CPU overheat, fanspeed warning.

I had the same problem with my build.
    G. Skill 2400 memory, mobo doesn't recognize, you have to set by hand, Advanced memory settings, XMP profile 1.

    Cure for bleeps either,
Turn Core Performance boost off, standard heatsink can't handle overclock.
    or
    Install better cooler.

I've put in a Coolmaster Evo 212, works really well, no bleeps with boost now.
Temp is either 30c (easytune6) or 55c (Speccy) which is correct?
