Windows explorer not responding on startup

Hello, I've got this odd issue here.

As said in the title, windows explorer instantly stops working on startup, the screen itself is pitch black, all I can do is run a task manager, if I try to run explorer.exe, cmd, regedit, msconfig or anything - task manager crashes. The error says something similar to BEX64. I've searched through forums, people seem to be having this similar issue, but they can at least run SOMETHING (cmd, regedit etc.), while I can't. I tried pretty much everything. I tried every single option with windows cd inserted, however none of the options helped fix my problem. I've got no restoring points as I never made one. I tried running it on safe mode, the problem is exactly the same. I'm kinda lost. Is there any hope?

    Thanks.

Well as I said, I'm practically not able to do anything with windows. It merely starts up and explorer instantly crashes. My only option is to run task manager which is of no use as it crashes as soon as I run anything - whether it is cmd or regedit or anything. The only thing I can do is kill processes which is also of no good.

If the issue existed in Safe Mode perform Clean Boot troubleshooting to find the root cause of the issue:
    Clean startup.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm afraid I can't do that as well... As I said I can't run practically anything, including msconfig. I can only open the task manager and kill processes, not much else. I wonder if it is somehow possible to control windows 7 from other OS, as I have xp installed as well and it works perfectly well, though, I'm afraid it is not quite possible.

Im afraid buddy that will not be possible i.e. controlling your OS with other OS. In this case, I will suggest for OS reinstall. If there is no other expert comments on this.

I just realised what might have caused this. Before going to bed, I left the computer to shutdown by itself as it was updating. I believe it is possible that someone came and turned it off the hard way. Could it be the case? Would there be any solutions as to update it manually somehow etc.?

By the way, when I had windows 7 on and tried to resolve the issue, it asked for an update before shutting down first, so I updated it, however it was of no use as it didn't help anyhow.

That can be the cause. There are ways to update those. But, we need to get the PC boot and then do those steps.
