Does E already have Win7 on it? If so Mark Partition Active, power down to unplug Disk0, plug its cable into Disk1 to make it Disk0, then run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times until Win7 starts and E is marked System Active.

If you recover to E using a backup image, then specify during the recovery process to make it Active and copy Track0 to make it bootable. You may still need to confirm Active partition and run Startup Repairs to get it to boot.

I would not have Win7 on the right side of the HD as it's deliberately placing it as far away from the disk reader as possible, when by placing it on the left hand side of the HD it will be closer to where the reader is located.

If you're interested in having a perfect install of Win7 the steps are compiled in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 and are the same for retail.

You can boot the Win7 installer on flash stick to do the repairs I gave you. The installer download along with tool to write to flash stick is in steps 1 and 2 of Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
