Win 7 OS for refurbished PC
I have come across software that is marked "Intended for distribution with refurbished PC". What is this, a OEM style software for old PC's? I am trying to help a person with limited income fix up their old PC. Needs new hard drive and pretty sure the motherboard will need to be replaced. I assume that could be called a "refurbished" PC. Any thoughts. Thanks.

When I have bought refurbished HP computers (OFF business lease) from NewEgg & TigerDirect, they come with a DVD marked that way. Then there is a new sticker COA-Key Code on the computer marked refurbished.

Thank! It sounds like this would be a good way to go. I think they would be better off getting Win 7. XP is not really that cheap.
