Laptop Shutting Down When Battery Dies (Instead of hibernating)
Computer: HP Pavilion DV6-6c35dx OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Hello, I am writing this post because my computer has had this ongoing problem, and it’s starting to annoy me… It used to be that when the battery power got low, the battery icon in the tray would generate a warning message that my battery only had a certain percentage of life remaining, and that I only had a certain amount of time to connect it to a wall socket via my charger before the computer went into sleep mode (Power Saver Mode). If I didn’t connect it to a power source, it would go to sleep until I did connect it to one and pressed the power button… It doesn’t do that anymore. Now I get no warnings and the computer just experiences an illogical shuts down. It's very annoying, whenever I use my computer I have to keep it connected to a wall socket, lest it unexpectedly shut down on me. Does anyone here have any suggestions?
Thank you.
