    Backup directory using dos.

Hi, I have tried. Various methods to fix my laptop and its not happening. All the tools to fix it are more than i can afford so will be doing a clean install. My question is, can anyone tell me how to back up the users folder to a USB, i have checked computer hope and everything i find is to back up to another drive or file on the laptop. Im guessing it would be quite simple if you understand it but I never was good at dos. Thanks.
I forgot to mention that it was an os booting error and i have no os to work on, have to use cmd in the repair my computer section as os won't load up

Also RichCopy may be worth a look. It was the only tool I found that made copying my Windows.old folder over the network a sane experience. :)

Edit: it's a freebie written by an MS employee.
