Windows resets programs after shut down

Whenever I turn off my computer when I turn it back on my word recently used files list is blank [it's set for 14 files], my start menu is blank, my itunes requires me to log in, etc. This has not ever been the case. I ran malware bytes and it found and removed 10 objects, but it's still happening. Symantec runs continuously.

If this is something that happened recently, System Restore may fix it. Check System Restore and see if you have an available restore point that is BEFORE this problem started. If you do try that and see what happens (System Restore has an undo feature if it doesn't fix it).

When you do a System Restore, it will not delete user data/e-mails, etc but any programs or updates that have been installed, will have to be reinstalled after the System Restore. Same way anything uninstalled will have to uninstalled again.

Unfortunately no points had been created as the feature was set to zero; i now have it as 20% of the disc however that is closing the barn door after the cow escaped and took a plane to Canada.
