Shutdown Unexpectedly, & Windows Did Not Shutdown Successfully Errors
EDIT: 11/21 The latest thing it says is windows did not shut down successfully because the system stopped responding. Anyone?
After PC is left unattended more than an hour or so it gets a black screen with no error messages, but the CPU and fans are powered up. I must power off and cold start. Usually it takes 3 or 4 tries to get a successful boot, and when I do I get a message that says windows did not shutdown successfully.
The windows error log says the problem is shut down unexpectedly, event name bluescreen, OS version 6.1.7601.2.1.768.3 Locale ID 1033. (Windows Home Premium)
I have all power, sleep, and hibernate options set to never. I have run the memory test and it is OK. I have also run a windows integrity scan which said no corruptions in windows integrity.
I'd really appreciate a hand with this issue. Thanks.
Edit: Although at the top of the post I said "after an hour or so" that is not always so. A more accurate description would be after leaving the PC unattended for several hours.
