    disk format for burning bootable disks


    On a few occasions in the past I have encountered random problems when burning bootable disks. If memory serves me properly, trying again with a different disk format has solved the problem. Imgburn is the program I use. I can't remember which disk formats caused me problems (R, W, RW). Which format is recommended for this task?

Have burnt successfully in the past but recently discs are not playing properly. This has happened twice now using DVD+R discs. I gave up on the first but I just tried the latest again on DVD-RW and it seems OK. Would I be better with DVD-R discs and, if so, why would this be? Acer Aspire...
I have Windows 7 here but the .iso is 3.74GB and my disks are only 700MB. Is there a way to burn Windows 7 to multiple disks? So it would be installing and ask for disk 2, 3 and so on? I bought a pack of 10 so the amount of disks isn't an issue. The disks are CD-R 700MB.

I've downloaded SuSe 11.2 iso, and need to burn it to a DVD, so that it becomes installable. I tried using Nero 8, to burn a data DVD, which was fine, except it wasn't bootable. I've done this before, and I thought that I used Nero, but apparently I'm forgetting something...what?
