How to link a old library to an new installation of Win 7

I have loaded Win 7 on a new SSD drive. The previous Win 7 is on an old drive and I would like to link the old user library to the new drive without moving it. I know how to move a library from an new windows 7 installation to another drive, but unsure how to link the old library to the new installation.

Hello Ron, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you like, you could copy the contents to the new library.

You could also include the folders from the old library to the new one.

    Library - Include a Folder

    Hope this helps, :)

Does this old drive also contain an OS installation.

You can shrink the old OS partition to create a new data partition into which you copy the old User folders. Then rightclick each to add to the related library.

Once this is done, delete the old OS by first Marking Partition as Inactive then deleting. You can then either repartition the space or Resize the data Partition into the space.

If you have any further questions please post back a screenshot of Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image
