    Is the VSS problem connected to Click-To-Run?

    They seem to run together in Event Viewer.
    I ask because C2R is in it's own unaccessible Drive Q.
    And which 'Service' is correct?

    ??? Either that's the defaults or if it's something I did ( CRS ) it would have been on advice from someone here at this forum. ???

    "Click to Run" is an office 2010 sandbox thing. It creates a fake Q-drive. VSS thinks it's a drive just as C and D but cannot access it.

    All things you see are quite normal.

    Why did you disable those services?! Anyway do Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup STEP THREE to fix it

    I really don't know what exactly you did - and it does not really matter. But most of those services above should not be stopped. I suggest you go into 'Services' and set them at least to 'manual'.

    Just took a look at Services & it looks like about half of them are Started & in the other half, the Status column is blank. I thought I'd try to 'export' the list but am too dumb to know how to do that right.
    I've got to get off here for now, have already put up with 4 phone calls & 1 visitor while trying to work on my mess & now time to start dinner.

    Don't worry about the 'Status' column. Look at the 'Startup Type' column. And if you want to change something, right click on the service and go to Properties.

    This is very confusing! When I go into Services, everything (other than a few Disabled) is either Manual or Automatic so why all the Stopped when I go into services in msconfig. Which one am I supposed to be working on??
    I do have a couple items disabled from Startup in msconfig.

    @LB, I don't use those programs & don't think I'm infected.
