I don't have a Facebook account but about half of the sites I open send down a "like.php," and other garbage. This occurs mostly on Firefox. I haven't seen this yet on Chrome. At any rate, it is making me crazy. I have cookies and pop-ups blocked but keep getting this crap.
Anyone know how to effectively block this nonsense?

That's because those sites have Facebook integration, with Like This buttons. Chrome is designed to spy your every move so it's probably just hiding that behaviour.
For Firefox:
Ghostery addon locks down tracking, and that facebook integration nonsense (because it's tracking).
Noscript locks down anything you don't specifically allow. scripts, java, flash.

You should report to the Facebook community or email to the Facebook admin.

not sure if im wrong but my web browser used to be impossible to use, opening a page and waiting 5 minutes to click something on that page because the more i clicked the more windows of spam poped up but im sure this program didnt only fix that, but also removed a bunch of unwanted/unknown about crap from my pc thanks to Jacee, Junkware Removal Tool Download
it was either that, or avast, which is free and good enough btw
