    Welcome to sevenforums ,
what icons are they? , the shield usually means it runs with admin rights, or it will ask you to ok it when you try to run it.

if you right click them and select properties is there a checked box or tab that says run as administrator?
if so uncheck it then apply /then ok and the shield should go.

The shields could also be a false (infection) security program.
If those icons got on your desktop without you putting them their I would be very careful about opening them until you know where they came from.
