Computer starts calculating time to delete

I want to know what it is trying to delete... and how i can prevent windows from starting to calculate deletion.
i got this since restarting windows after installing some software i got from a friend....he probaly had it pirated or something and now i got some weird virus.

after i hit cancel when windows is booted up, nothing else happens. just every time after loggin in, it wants to delete stuff. and because it calculates how much time is needed, i guess it is not just a few files.

    help would be appriciated. thanks!

Not much information to work with but I will try.

What was the program you installed?

Remove the programs that is causing the problem and reboot.

You could have been infected with many things once using pirated programs.
To check if you are still infected I recommend going to our Security Section and post your problem of possible infection.
They can guide you on how to check for and clean infections.
They love beating up on infections.

    Autoruns for Windows

will show you what starts up at logon. It's got to be one of those that's doing it.

You might want to check your startup resources.

If you type MSCONFIG into the windows search or cmd prompt, then navigate to the startup menu.
From here check each instance that is loaded, you can usually see unrecognised services, although you need to make sure you don't disable Microsoft ones.

Doing this will also show you where it is installed. So you can find it in the explorer and remove it.
