windows explorer will not display my user directory.

    Hi
New here... and very new to windows 7. I have the professional version, x64 on a new cyberpower pc desktop computer. When I use windows explorer, I open the directory USERS. it shows :
    default
    public

My user account is set up as 'username' for example. I can not figure out how to get explorer to list my account's files under users. I have verified that the directory c:\users\username exists.

Any clue how to get explorer to see my user directory?

thanks in advance. I'm a former xp user and am having the devil of a time getting used to 7.

    never mind...

did some research and found this:

C:\users\username was set to have the following attributes S for system and H for hidden.

Another user said in dos to use attrib -s -h on the directory and PRESTO! problem solved.

    thanks anyway.
