Win 7 64 bit - windows explorer keeps crashing

My windows explorer keeps crashing, especially when i need to work/access folders.

Don't want to do a system restore,as i have alot of info and programs.

I also don't have any installation disk that came with the laptop, i emigrated and left my stuff overseas.

Hello Joe , have you tried running the sfc/scannow command. This will fix all corrupted files/folders, if that doesn't work , let me know. It will take time for the scan to finish so just be patient.

Do you get any error messages? Or does it just say "not responding" or hangs or what exactly?

If you do get error messages please post them.

I thought he meant going with chrome and its file manager. It is ambiguous though. I guess they should have kept the internet stuff as "navigator" and the file stuff as "explorer" since it takes quite a bit of exploration to find your files. :)

Yes it is my Windows Explorer and not Internet Explorer.

No, I don't get any errors, sometimes the system hangs (not responding) and Windows Explorer crashes, really annoying.

Have you tried downloading Malwarebytes?, maybe a threat is causing your Computer to crash and does Windows Explore crash only when you right click the file and then open?
