Browser says I have IE 11 but only have IE9 installed?

When I look at abouit IE, it says 11. But when I look at installed updates, IE 9 is what is there. I have downloaded the IE 11 update, then looked, same thing. We are going to IE 9/10 at work for compatability issues. How could this happen and how can I work around it?

Like I said in programs, it says IE 9 is installed, but the browser says IE 9. I actully downoaded the IE 11, then attempted to uninstall it, and in the "view installed updates" only IE 9 is there and the browsert says 11

It says IE 11, but it is actually running IE 9. The IE 11 update fails and when I try to istall 9 or 10 from the site, it says I currently have both iunstalled?

Yes. I was remoting to an employees laptop. The IE installed (so he said) then we rebooted and IE 9 only populated in the installed updates.

Yeah, it isn't. It's weird. The computer thinks it is IE 11 but it won't install any lower versions because it says is running them all?
