    Do not hibernate

I have two identical Acer notebook computers with Windows7 Home Premium. They are set up identically and specifically the hibernate function is set to "do not hibernate when plugged in". One computer does not hibernate when plugged in, but the other one does. This is driving me crazy. I have checked the settings for both computers and they are identical. I would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

have you checked the bios settings to make sure the power management options you want are properly enabled? Also did you check to see if there are any exclamation marks or question marks by the power management features in the device manager in the control panel?

Thanks for your reply. As for the control panel settings, there are no exclamation marks anywhere. As for the bios, can you tell me how to access the bios and what the setting should be? Thanks.
