A Batch file to bypass adminstrator popup [Prefetch folder] ~

    Hello again guys!

As I mentioned in the thread title, I want to make a .bat file that can delete each file and folder inside C:\Windows\Prefetch ~ I actually made one but it can't delete any thing in Prefetch folder until I open the folder, seeing that annoying popup below and click continue, the problem itself that the .bat which I made can't get access inside the folder, when I open the folder for the 1st time it telling me you don't have permission to.. but when that popup appears and I click continue then when I open the .bat file it deletes everything there. I want to create a .bat file which can > bypass that popup and delete Prefetch folder content.

I don't believe this is possible without disabling UAC and that is not recommended.
But really, why are you wanting to delete the contents of the prefetch folder? The idea that this is beneficial is a myth based on a misunderstanding of how prefetch works. It will actually impair performance. Unless you really understand what you are doing the Windows folder and all of it's sub folders should be considered off limits for deletion.

Thx Miller for your reply. Could you tell me how can I disable UAC for that folder?! .. Even Take Ownership can't do it permanently, I mean when I take own of the folder with Take Ownership it takes ownership for only one time but when I restart Windows and go to the folder again the same popup appears! .. Yeah I understand what I'm doing but I really need a way to delete its contents without opening it like %temp% folder, I have a .bat file which can delete all %temp% folder contents without opening the folder. The main problem boils down in bypassing UAC of that folder by a .bat file.
