Help!!! Laptop froze, making weird sounds, can't start up normally!

    Hello!

I was gaming when suddenly, my laptop froze while making extremely weird sounds. It sounded like it was about to explode or something, I really can't explain it! Panicking, I forced shut it down and started it back up 10 minutes later and got this while still having those weird sounds coming out of my laptop:

I'm now directed to that and I have no idea what to do! Please help me ASAP!!!

It was most likely not overheating as it was nowhere near hot and my room in general is not hot!

Can it boot succesfully from a bootable DVD? It look like the harddrive isn't detected by BIOS, so it's unable to boot from it. That weird sound is probably a scratching part of the harddrive.

Try opening up your laptop and see where the hardrive is. Make sure it's plugged in snug. Seems like the laptop is saying it can't detect a hard drive like kaktu mentioned which is what I thought of also when seeing this post, might of got bumped and the hardrive could possibly be loose. Had a similar issue in a standard tower pc, the issue is someone bumped the computer and the power plug on it was loose.

Also it would help to know what type of laptop, brand and model would be great so we have a better idea of what we're handling here.

Sounds like a dying hard drive.

    1. What "Make" and "Model" is the laptop?
    2. How old is it?
    3. Where did you purchase it?
    4. Is it still under warranty?

Providing the above information would be beneficial in soliciting help for your problem.
