    Windows 7 Signature Edition Question...

    Hi,

The past few days I've been hearing of a Windows 7 Signature Edition. What is this all about?

As always, many thanks in advance.

The signature edition is a version of W7 ultimate with a printed signuture on it from Steve Ballmer.

I know it was given out as part of the "Party Packs" at the W7 Launch Parties, but am sure there were other methods of obtaining one.

The actual software is not at all different from any other copy of Windows 7 Ultimate.

I got one for attending the launch party in NYC on the 22nd. And I'm sure that they're being handed out at different promotional gatherings. I'd also expect to see some given away at the MVP Summit in Feb 2010.

It's in a flimsy cardboard sleeve so, IMO, it's worth less than the normal version that comes in the nice plastic case.

my plastic case was broken on arrival

luckily the discs were perfectly fine, so i didn't bother returning the package to amazon - i was way too eager to install!

    "$500? $1000? No! Only $99!"
