The Explorer used in Windows 7 is a first rate disaster. No I'am not exagerating one bit. Known bugs from the last version of Explorer are also in the new one that came with Windows 7. There is no doubt about this fact. The problem is outlined here.

I have this exact problem with the new browser. This problem was also present in the old version and has yet to be fixed in the new version of Explorer. Just because you don't have this problem does not mean others don't OK?

Do you Einstien's really think that a beta OP system will be bug free for everyone? LOL you have to be joking!
Don't be arrogant. You don't see anyone else acting like that.

Forgive me if I'm outta line here,
I'm no IT guy (or even that smart actually) and I know you tech gurus, (self proclaimed or otherwise) hack at each other pretty hard on some of the other forums Ive read trying to get info on this OS.

I was a little surprised by that "Einstein" post on this forum. (btw, that was spelled wrong) I think that was the closest thing to rude Ive seen here and Ive read quite a few posts in the last week or so.
I really appreciate all the good information and guidance provided here without that crap

Windows 7 build 7022 has leaked today. Search for 7022.winmain.090115-1850 in your favorite search engine. It's real but three weeks old. Current MS internal build is 7034 and NOT leaked.

Build 7022 not really RC prospect

I just fresh tested 7022, but immediately ran into disappointments. The only thing that is good over 7000 is probably IE 8 RC is installed.

However, it would have the following shortcomings that forced me to go back to build 7000:

    1. devices are not all detected. My HP printer is not discovered. I manually installed drivers, but it would not print. Nor does the built-in Office Document Image Writer.

    2. The aero preview doesn't work either. It plainly doesn't.

    3. Other issues too many to discuss here present.

To sum it all, I just wonder if this is actually a post Beta build or someone just faked the build with one of earlier version. I am not saying that it is, but it sure makes me wonder since this build 7022 seems to be a step backward from build 7000. I really don't think this is a RC branch build. Anyone has different experience?

I have installed this build and I have to say I have experienced the opposite, all features are working and installation was smother and quicker, all my devices were detected and installed I also noticed lots of other improvements and will highlight some of them now.

Things I notice that are different so far are:Welcome screen has changed color and appearance.

    Internet Explorer is now RC1.

    Gadgets work with UAC off.

You can set the desktop to turn off icons or gadgets individually.

Changed color on navigation pane to light blue which is also found in some other areas as well, all colors now seem consistent.

Media player now has a button to view now playing and there are also sample music, pictures and video included.

Control panel has changed and you now have a drop down tab to select the different views, control panel short-cut in the navigation pane in the top left corner which has now been replaced with a Control Panel link instead.

A couple of icons have changed including Desktop Gadget Gallery and Home Groups.

The start Orb is missing a bit at the bottom when not active and the Media Player and Explorer icons seem lighter in color.

remember this version came (or was built) during the the beta CEIP date ...
this build is not for the public and was leaked...
this will of course have its downsides (as you described)
this is being developed actively and is a daily build or a throw away-away build meaning it is used (it should be used) for a week if remember correctly....

then feedback is taken errors are corrected (maybe new things are inserted) and it is compiled again...
