Task Host Window message at shutdown

    Win7 32-bit

Why do I get the following message every time I shut down?

    "(Waiting for) Task Host Window
Task host is executing shutdown tasks, and stopping tasks that are already running"

There are NO tasks running. This has been going on for days now. What causes this crappy annoyance and how can I fix it?

    Anyone?

I frequently get this. My cause is the sound. It's waiting for the logoff sound but the system's shutting down too quick for it to initialize. Temporarily turn off your sound scheme to determine if this is causing it.

Thanks Ken but this doesn't fix it as its not slow to shutdown. Just a annoying warning. I did try it just incase and no joy.

What Antivirus do you have? Sometimes this can cause a delay.

I have similar problem as *hamneggs when I Shut down Windows 7. I get end task message for split second and then Windows Shuts down - pc also.

Dont know what problem could be? Becase I didn't expirieced any of this messages at Shut down procedure in Windows Vista.

Im using Windows 7 x64bit Ultimate Edition an have instaled NOD32 Antivirus 4.0 with latest build. This Antivirus is also x64bit edition and is reported to be working&compatible with Windows 7.

Please help me determine and fix this issue that is anoying me.
    Thanks! Technics

Thank you for your reply but this doesent solve my problem. I laso think that any of us should not disable RAC task! Many programs need this process to determine problem when something goes wrong.
