Documents and Settings refuses to open. Win7 Ultimate

I tri to open D&S directory on the left side column. ERROR: Access is Denied. The icon has a curled blue arrow on it. I can open it from the right column
    .
The Properties/security show that I,System,Administrator and Everybody have FULL ACCESS.
I think that blue arrow is a clue.
    Thanks, G

    Hello Gerald,

The C:\Documents and Settings link is actually only a junction point (symbolic link) now used for backwards compatibility of older programs that still reference it, and not a real folder that can be opened.

It was replaced by the C:\Users and C:\ProgramData folders in Windows 7 now.

    Hope this helps, :)

I was looking at the Properties/Security again and a small window popped up and helped me remove a setting that was blocking access for "EVERYBODY" I ripped that out and it works now. The blue arrow is still there! ???
    Thanks, G

The blue arrow overlay on the icon indicates that it's a link and not an actual folder.
