How can I completely delete an admin account in windows 7?

So, I was having trouble booting windows then I found out it was a corrupt disk blah blah blah, so I repaired it with chkdsk and it deleted my home folder, so I googled my problem and I was advised to delete my account and create a new one.

Well, I did, I went into the registry and deleted the key for my account but my account was still "there" as in windows still recognised it as an account. so then I thought to use the manage user accounts thing but the only access I had was from safe mode which doesn't let me do this, I even tried creating a new user account from a VBScript I found, which worked. But the account wouldn't log in.

So I'm a bit stuck right now, I have no idea where to go from here(Maybe repair mode and command prompt and NET commands? not very familiar with BATCH I'm used to BASH).

If only windows were as good as *nix.

You can enable the hidden Administrator account from WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment). See here:
User Account Password - Change from WinRE

Just follow steps through Step 9.

    Login as Administrator (no password).
Start Control Panel / User Accounts.
Delete old account and any new accounts you created.
Create a new Administrator level account.
Use Switch Users to login with the new account name. Once you are sure it's okay, logoff Administrator.
You can disable the Administrator account if you want from a Elevated Command Prompt by entering

    net user administrator /active:no

Thank you very much! This is exactly what I was looking for. except, I couldn't add new accounts or anything.
I tried clicking on Manage another account and nothing happens.
So I tried using net commands eg: net user username /del, and then net user username password /add Which worked, I feel like such an idiot for asking now because I could have done that from safe mode...

    I have another problem now.
Windows won't allow me to log in to my account, it says unable to log on or something.
Even after I deleted and re created my account.

Were you able to login as the Administrator after activating it?
