Taskbar hangs, UI doesn't respond to clicks

Hi, The last few months my computers borks out pretty randomly. The taskbar stops responding completely to my mouse clicks. So the icons don't light up and don't respond when clicked. When I CTRL+ALT+DEL to get to the taskbar the UI of the page I get doesn't respond either. I can click the taskmanager button but it doesn't not highlight or changes as it should be. After killing explorer.exe and restarting it everything works ok again. I clean my computer regularly so I don't think it's a virus/malware. Any tips?

    Hi,
Post a screen shot of your Startup section using msconfig,
If happening using clean boot I have to suspect some sort of bug ?
    See if this finds anything,
Review Jacee’s instructions to run Adwcleaner here on post #7,
Ignore the title of the thread,

    Or download it from bleepingcomputer.com

Wow! That is a lot of startup entries. You really only need your antivirus set to run on startup. Everything else is usually unnecessary. But you for sure did try a clean boot and it did not help the issue?

Try this: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Use option 2

Okay thanks for getting back to me. Do you experience this issue in safe mode?
