why compatibility mode list is different

    why compatibility mode list is different


    i see something strange , on friend PC if you open the compatibility mode list you can see the (windows 7) option even he have windows 7 !!! on other PC's this choice is unavailable !!! any good and right answer ??? And why needed even if i am insides windows 7 environment !!!???

    It lists windows 7 because it is a previous version since windows 7 SP1 is the more current version.

    Why do these PCs not have SP1 installed??? :-(
