    can you Save notes in windows folders


    Dear Forum members,

    I currentl can use sticky notes on desk top which is great,

    BUT - is there a app that's allows me to use note in folders also?

    Hello Manni, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    I find the best thing for that is to just create a New -> Text Document in the folder. This way you could have a .txt file with any name you like, and edit it with Notepad to have any text you want in it.

    If the note is brief enough, you could just use an empty .txt file and put your note in the filename. I've done that on occasion. You can adjust the width of the Name column in the folder to allow for a longer file name to show although just hovering the mouse pointer will usually display the rest of a truncated filename.

    Hi

    Guys,

    Many thanks for your replies - the notes would have helped to keep track of comments with a date, just like you would make a note on the desktop.

    Please let mw know if there is anything that may come to mind.
