How to track shortcuts to a file

I wish to rename some files - give them more 'efficient', logical names, but I know that in doing so, any shortcuts to the file might give problems.
Is there any way to know if any shortcuts exist to a given file?

Chiliem, sorry but the only way to find out which shortcut points to a file that you renamed is to look at the properties of each shortcut.

Windows had this functionality since Windows 95.

See: Windows Confidential: Tracking Shortcuts

So go ahead, rename and change locations of your files, your shortcuts will continue to work.

First track of ripped CDs (in .WAV format) does not display track info
I have a strange problem. I ripped my personal CD collection to .WAV as I have the space and thought it was best quality. I used WMP. Everything ripped fine... for a while, the first song of each album kept 'losing' its track information. I would use the Find Album Info feature of WMP to fix...
