I see you have dual display drivers which could very possibly be related.

Are these switchable graphics, or is there an onboard chip which has been upgraded to card? If so you might enter BIOS setup to turn off the onboard chip. I would want to study the settings in BIOS setup anyway. We can help if you'll post back a camera choice of all the related settings choices.

I would also study the settings for each driver's software if you have it installed. There may need to be settings changes. The Nvidia card seems to think it's ported for dual display. That may in itself be the problem since often a black screen relates to driver loading.
Can you please be more specific I have no idea how to turn off the chip.
    and BIOS is confusing

I am really sorry for being soo annoying but I really didnt get what you're trying to say.

We need to see all settings. If you'll notice the Miscellaneous Devices on the second picture can be expanded to see more.

THere are also other pages in your BIOS which need scouring. You're looking for Display device, GPU, video, or similar.

Thoroughness is of utmost importance in a case like this. Nothing can be missed. If in doubt, provide a picture or ask back.

Your not annoying. Ask questions for anything you do not understand. We might be able to show you some videos that can help.

Can we see Miscellaneous Devices on the Advanced screen expanded?

What is the other Display choice in the dropdown menu here?

OK, thanks for the excellent cooperation. It seems you have followed most every step for troubleshooting and the reinstall.

I've elevated this to ask for more help on switchable graphics since the issue may lie in the display settings. If it was a card upgrade then Dell should have a setting in BIOS to disable chip.

It would be helpful to see those other choices under the Display dropdown, and what is available on Advanced Settings which should reveal the adapter being used for certain.

Do you normally use multiple monitors? Can you see settings in Advanced on that page for deselecting them.

Can you also choose each adapter Intel and Nvidia with Try to Connect Anyway on VGA, reboot to see if it still hangs?
