Re-Installed Windows 7 using recovery partition, system is slow now

No, I dont. On Display One, the main screen I dont even get the option to choose Intel or Nvidia.

when I click on Detect, I get two display [another display not detected] there I get the options to choose Intel or Nvidia, but I do that I get this:



When I click on Advance settings :



Also I have icons of both Intel HDGraphic and NVIDIA GeFORCE in taskbar:



When I right click I get options of both control panels:

and boy! its becoming more confusing.

Have you reinstalled the Nvidia Optimus switchable graphics software from Dell?

Unfortunately, I believe there is some confusion on how the video works on the Dell XPS L702X. The Intel HD video card drives the laptop display and the Nvidia GT 555M video card drives an EXTERNAL monitor connected via the HDMI 1.4a port on the laptop. I first tried a Samsung 3D LED LCD display, but found that the Samsung 3D is NOT COMPATIBLE with the Nvidia 3D. I now have a ViewSonic V3D245 LED LCD monitor with built in speakers. You use the Nvidia Control Panel to enable the 3D display and disable the laptop display and finally to enable 3D on the external display.

Windows Update installed NVIDIA driver and yesterday It got updated from Drivers | GeForce

I read about it, before doing a clean re installation I downloaded a game from Steam, Red Alert. I had to choose graphic processor to start it.

anyways, back to the problem? how can I get rid of that black screen? Now laptop is taking even more time to start up, and Event Viewer is full of Errors now. I think I'll have to re-install windows again.

Try uninstalling the Nvidia software in Control Panel>Programs and Features,

then in Device Manager disable Nvidia which appears is only for external display.

Set a Restore Point first.

I don't think that will work, because I have tried that Also when I re-installed windows there was driver or software installed and I was getting the black screen, even when windows started for the first time I was welcomed by thatt screen for around a minute.
