    Secure Host Process Error Message

    Good Morning,

I receive the following error message on every boot up of my Toshiba Laptop, running Windows 7, 64 bit OS.

F - Secure Host Process is trying to recover your information.

The message disappears after a few seconds and does not recur until the next boot up.

I assume that F refers to a USB device, but I never boot up with a USB device installed and I have always used the 'safe removal' process.

The error message seems to be of little significance but its persistent occurrence is very frustrating.

Any suggestion to solve this annoyance would be gratefully received.

Just for grins after shutting down try holding down the power button so that the machine shuts down completely. Wait about 30 seconds. Then boot up. It may not work. But it shouldn't hurt to try.

Thank you for your comment. I followed your suggestion and I certainly detected a change. The error occurred bu only as a fleeting signal not as a message sustained for several seconds.
I shall continue to monitor the problem and report back.
