Computer randomly shut down during gameplay and now won't start up

Hi, I brought a computer under a year ago and it just shut down while I was playing a game (Rust,by Garry Newman) I then tried to start it up but nothing happened. After leaving it unplugged for a while I reconnected everything and tried to turn it on, unsuccessful however the on button lit up and the CPU fan switched on for about a second.

I'm no expert, but from experience, I think the problem is the power supply. A tip until a real expert can answer, do not try to turn on the PC.

And it may be that something has overheated. As you mention, has already been a year, it will be time for a cleaning.

Open up the case and check all of the power connections on the motherboard. Make sure they are snug and plugged in properly.

I agree with 3Colors, it sounds like a PSU problem. When it stopped working, do you remember any snapping or crackling sounds, or did you smell anything funny afterward?

When the power supply fan stops rotating can heat certain components of the psu.
In this case it is better to take it to a technician and have it checked. If it is the PSU, you should not try to force the pc to turn on.
