aaw7boot.log is in my root drive, reappears when I delete it.
It does a boot scan - it says. But it scans a lot, and the "time clock" is off. I'm Pacific Daylight Time. I suspect it's GMT time. I would not expect a program to adjust my system time for its own uses.
aaw7boot.log - it's actually a text file named .log
See pasted and abridged copy:
It appears to belong to Lavasoft but everything they suggested, I tried. I did the deletion suggested. I deleted the txt file - it had been running since early 2013. I've tried looking in processes, etc. I looked at the various start up processes and tabs using CC Cleaner. No red flags that I can see.Code:Quote: ================================================================================ Boot Cleaner ================================================================================ [~] Cleaning started at 2014-01-20 22:39 ================================================================================ Boot Cleaner ================================================================================ [~] Cleaning started at 2014-01-21 01:06 ******************************************* SNIPPED for BREVITY ******************************************* ================================================================================ Boot Cleaner ================================================================================ [~] Cleaning started at 2014-01-24 06:36 ================================================================================ Boot Cleaner ================================================================================ [~] Cleaning started at 2014-01-24 15:20 ================================================================================ Boot Cleaner ================================================================================ [~] Cleaning started at 2014-01-24 19:14
It also runs in Safe Mode.
BTW, worst case for what it's worth, I'm suspicious that my computer might be being used as a spam bot, thus my time hack doesn't match its time hack.
BTW, you might check your drive, too. It's not showing up in search, BTW. So you have to open your C drive from My computer.
Does anyone know how to kill it?
BTW, sorry to get carried away, but this is a cast iron b of a problem.
EDIT: I did a re boot any my system time is 09:21 AM, the aaw7boot.log scan time was 17:21 If that's any help.
