To uninstall Bonjour first disable the Bonjour related service at start/run> services.msc

Then you need to rename a folder in order to remove the Bonjour program entry.

    1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Bonjour
    2. Rename the mdnsNSP.dll file in that folder to mdnsNSP.old
    3. Restart your computer
    4. Delete the Program Files\Bonjour folder at C:\Program Files\Bonjour

Run CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download to remove any left over registry entries or temp files.

If you don't mind it being resident on the hard drive (installed) but you just want to keep it from running, why not just simply disable that service.
If you look it up, you'll find post after post after post about Bonjour creating all sorts of quagmires and the importance - and difficulty - of getting it completely, entirely removed from your computer if you don't need it (which I don't).

My computer is running outrageously slow and I'm going through every process and service and installed program to get rid of anything unnecessary. In a situation like this, Bonjour is definitely something to not keep around.

It turns out that the Microsoft Fix It utility *is* still around, and it seems to have successfully removed Bonjour. MS has buried the utility in an obscure, hard to find page. If you try to look it up, MS forces you to a generic help page called "Fix It Solution Center" which does NOT contain the Fix It tool (program) itself. Typical Microsoft.

Somehow I dug up the tool here.

Well I only remember I've had it and I've seen it elsewheres (I know that's not a word!) as well and it did bother me too indeed, but I surely must've gotten rid of it pretty easily, or I'd remember it better... Unless I just reinstalled my system, which I used to do a lot until several years ago (for testing purposes).
