I've never seen an option to sort manually...perhaps you had a 3rd party application installed in Vista that allowed this?

No you don't understand, I had't any 3rd party applications on vista.

Try move files in your any hard disk, for example to set My pictures first folder, its impossible, win 7 automaticali sorting items, But on vista you can move your folders how you like to see.

I use word manually to explain what i need to do, of course there are't option to set manually

    Hello; sikvdila,

    Welcome to the forums.

Sorry I can't help with the sorting problem, but you can change your country in UserCP under 'edit your details'.

Just booted up a Vista machine, and I'm not able to do anything differently with the files there than in Windows 7, so no help here, sorry to say.

Vista had the option to 'Sort by None' if thats what you mean. You could drag files/folders into any order you like. Another user posted about this here: Can't drag and drop photo's

    No sorting cabability

We just had new Windows 7 computers installed and I discovered I couldn't sort any way but alphabetically. My installer checked and told me it was just the W 7 default and nothing could be done about it save putting the appropriate letters or numbers in front of your file name to force it to list files or folders in the order you prefer. Apparently lots of people are unhappy about this but Microsoft doesn't care. I think it's the height of arrogance to think you should be deciding how everyone in the world sorts their files, especially since the concept of clicking and dragging was what was so great about Windows to begin with. I will definitely not buy this for home.

    Hello,

Perhaps this may be what you are after.

Windows Explorer Auto Arrange - Disable

    or

Folder View - Apply to Folders

    or

Folder View - Set a Default for All Folders

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
