Lost my "Create a new file folder" function

When I right click on my desktop, then drop down menu, click "New" I no longer have a choice of New Folder,
only breifcase, which doesn't serve my purposes. How can I recover my create new file folder function?

Hello Rich, and welcome to Seven Forums.

The tutorial below may be able to help restore any missing default "New" context menu items.

New Context Menu - Remove & Restore Default Menu Items

    Hope this helps, :)

Restored my Create a folder function

Thanks Brink, for that info. You solved my problem and as Step 16 suggested it did take a moment for the folder function to appear. Almost thought it wasn't going to work. Where did you find the fixit information, because I looked in all the Help places to no avail. Thanks again.

    You're most welcome Rich.

It's from plenty of digging in Windows and the registry. :)
