    Sound and Video Problems


    Operating Windows 7. Recently updated itunes. flash player, and downloaded RealPlayer.
    At some point (& I'm not sure when) problems started on sound & video.
    Itunes- click on song just sits @ 0.00 no playback
    Youtube (Firefox) plays 11 seconds with no sound then freezes
    Youtube (IE) plays sound & vid for a few seconds (once) if it's the first audio use after logging in then will sit @ 0.00 for subsequent plays (bar shows it is downloading the whole vid.)
    Windows media centre will not play anything either except when first operated as in (Youtube (IE) above).
    Since the problem started I used a restore point before Itunes updated. Have removed all 3 programs & reloaded Itunes & Flashplayer (not RealPlayer)
    Thanks for any help that might be forthcoming.

    Try doing a System Restore to before you did the updates. If that fixes it then update one at a time until you find the one causing the problem.

    Maybe try an earlier restore point? I'm wondering if a Windows Update was the real cause?

this was a vista64 with a free upgrade to win7-64 from gateway. I believe soundcard is integrated in motherboard (nvidia). Avermedia tuner. I did all driver upgrades and even a bios upgrade for win7 but i have a problem i had even with vista64 but much worse. Their overseas helpdesk wasnt much help...
