At what point does WMD start Win7?

If it won't actually start until you run WMD, then instead run RAM Test with Memtest86+ CD for 7 passes or overnight to really stress it. Follow the steps to isolate the stick or slot which is problematic.

If no stick tests bad, then remove each stick to check for debris in slot to blow out, try one stick at a time, swap sticks. Remember the precautions for guarding against static shock:touch the metal on case before touching the chip, don't work on carpet, unplug A/C and battery, drain power by holding start ubtton:

If these fail then work through the steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start

Try this: Bootmgr is missing - Fix Skip step 3 since you already tried that. This will work even though you did not get a message.

it doesn't say bootmgr is missing? all i know is that when i get to this...and select memory diagnostic tools it works....and my computer works like normal once it gets to the stage of logging in. i will try your steps now and hope for a result... could it be that something in msconfig is disabled or what ever?

At what point does WMD cause Win7 to start?

Test your RAM as I wrote out for your earlier. Ask back for any questions.
