    W7 Power Options Chaos

Been around since the DOS days and I have met my match with W7 Power Options that change on their own and the laptop (Lenovo Z575) goes into Hibernation.
Have tried every option in Power settings/Advanced settings and still the darn thing shuts down.
Have created Custom settings... same thing

Today tried leaving a background program running to Ping the Internet every 10 minutes... still
    shutdown.

    Help

Well; have you checked the bios to see what options/features are enabled/disabled? I would go into the bios and check the power management options and make sure they are set the way you want them. Then go back into windows and try and set the power management options the way you want them. Try this out and see if it does anything for you. If not post back and we can continue from there.
