    Desktop Icons Flash every 6 seconds


    Hi I am not sure where to post this. I did a search but there was nothing recent here that was similar to my problem. Today the icons on my desktop started flashing. when i timed them it happens every 6 seconds. I can't remember ever seeing them do that before and am concerned what it might mean ? I had an MS update yesterday that was installed when i booted this a.m. and i learned here how to get my gadgets back by changing the screen resolution but that was a couple of weeks ago that i did that . Anyone have any ideas what or what not to do ?

    Thanks ranger. I am starting to think i "imagined" them flashing ... today they are normal !! i read the page and don't have the software they talked about . thanks for your help
