Need to have keyboard shortcuts to insert transliterated characters
I have applications (Word, Adobe Acrobat, Java, internet, PostgreSQL database) in which I need to display, compose and store text in transliterated devanagari (e.g., t with a dot under it, r with a dot under it, a with a long mark over it, etc.) on a new Dell XPS 8700 running 64-bit Win 7 Professional.
I have an old 32-bit HP Vista machine on which in the midst of English texts I could use special keystrokes to type the transliterated devanagari. To create the font set on the Vista machine I picked them out of a Unicode matrix. I have found on the Win 7 Forum mention of such a Unicode matrix but not a method to create a new font from them.
Note: I only need the Windows OS to display in English.
Thanks for your assistance.
