GPT partition has disappeared after enabling BitLocker

    Hi,

I was moving some files to a GPT Partitioned 4TB HDD and by accident I enabled BitLocker.
I had no intention to use BitLocker at all.
When I saw the following popup screen I quickly clicked "CANCEL" as I did not want to go any further.

(*** Please note that above picture is not taken from my pc! I did not put any value on any of the options shown above ***)
However the problem occurred straight away.
I clicked "My Computer" to view the Hard drive and it has disappeared.
From Disk Management it is shown as unallocated.
    Has this partition been encrypted?
I do not have a key to recover BitLocker partition.
    What Can I Do?

Run Partition Wizard Partition Recovery Wizard Video Help. to see if it finds the partition and can restore it. It provides an Undelete function that will restore a deleted partition, the only other explanation of what could have happened if you did not encrypt it. Do not format it at all as this will make it harder to recover.

    Hi xwizard,

    Welcome to SevenForums.

Repeat the same steps viz., Control Panel > System and Security > BitLocker Drive Encryption. Check whether your locked GPT drive appears and you can turn it off in that BitLocker Drive Encryption Window.A message will display, informing you that the drive will be decrypted. Click Decrypt the drive to continue and turn off BitLocker on the drive. Decryption may take sometime.
