Modify startup repair partition

    Use the F8 Advanced Boot Options, choose System Recovery Options to trigger Startup Repair at boot.

    Why would you want to choose Startup Repair at boot.

    May I suggest you focus on the practices which assure you'll get and keep a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 since if you do then you'll not need Startup Repair as a boot choice. Since perfect installs is a specialty of these forums we can help you do this so that the horse doesn't have to push the cart.

    Not sure you understand what I'm doing. I just want to change files on the hard drive that windows normally wouldn't let you change. And RE can do it.
