Windows Will Shut Down In Less Than A Minute?
Hi,
I was using my computer today when I randomly got the "Windows Will Shut Down In Less Than A Minute" dialog just after postponing an automatic update for 4 hours. Luckily I was fast and opened Run and used "shutdown.exe -a" to stop the shutdown. The dialog was exactly the same as when I run "shutdown.exe /s" from Remote Desktop. While port 3389 is open for remote connections IS open in my routers firewall I have made certain that I must already be logged in as an admin and the firewall must be turned off before an external connection (from outside my local network) can be made, my local network is secured by MAC filtering. There was a Standard User account with no password but you can only get as far as the logon screen as it has no rights to use remote desktop. I have since removed the account just in case.
My gut feeling is I accidentally clicked "Restart Now" instead of "Postpone" in the update window. Also, If someone where trying to get in they would have made another attempt by now.
Any ideas or explanations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
